Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT) Announces Authorization of SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine Import – Latest Updates and Regulations

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) announced that the vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 virus was authorized as merchandise to be imported, so that it can enter Mexican territory through the country’s customs.

In accordance with the second modification to Annex 9 of the general foreign trade rules for 2022, these vaccines are included in the list of goods authorized to import under the tariff fraction and commercial identification number of 3002.41.06, according to the fifth resolution of modifications published this Monday in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF).

Authorized merchandise

He also reported on the 28 customs offices authorized to clear the final import of mineral fuels, mineral oils and their distillation products; bituminous materials; mineral waxes such as regular and premium gasoline, as well as diesel oil and jet fuel.

He clarified that these goods cannot be used for tariff deferral programs and the strategic controlled zone customs regime.

It also published the list of import products related to minerals and the chemical or related industries, and the 29 customs offices in which their entry will be cleared.
