MEXICO CITY – Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador condemned the “Russian invasion of Ukraine” after weeks of remaining neutral in the conflict.

However, he managed to do so while reminding the world that some of Moscow’s harshest critics had previously attacked Mexico.

“We do not accept the Russian invasion of Ukraine because we are suffering the consequences of the invasion,” Lopez Obrador said Saturday in a video message.
