“It was important to visit the players, because there has been a very long lapse since we last saw each other. You had to see how they are, talk to them, watch training, be at the forefront. In this league, which for me is the best in the world, it is a luxury,” said Lozano.

Regarding the players, Lozano praised the figures of Edson Álvarez, at West Ham, and Rául Jiménez, at Fulham.

“Edson seems like he’s been here longer. He adapted wonderfully, to the league, to the club. He has established himself. He didn’t expect it, to be honest, because of the football he came from, which was more associative. I am very happy to see his growth. We need players like him who can come to this league and play every three days to be better,” he noted.

“I like Raúl what helps the team. It is a team that defends itself, that goes on the counterattack, Raúl gives a lot of life to the team, has a lot of quality and is returning to the level he had a couple of years ago. “That excites us all,” he highlighted.

Asked who his favorite coach is in the Premier League, Lozano chose Josep Guardiola, from Manchester City.

“For me it marked an era, it’s when I started wanting to be a coach,” said Lozano, who also mentioned Jürgen Klopp, Mikel Arteta and Roberto de Zerbi.
