Marcela Daviland, actress remembered for her career in the Mexican Golden Cinema, died this February 6 at the age of 98.

Through the social networks of the National Association of Actors (ANDA) it was reported that Daviland died. Until now, the reason for his death is unknown.

Marcela is remembered for having participated in films such as Pablo y Carolina, where she acted alongside Pedro Infante. Throughout her career, she participated in more than 30 films, having success mainly during the era of Cinema de Oro and Cine de ficheras.

The actress was born in Italy in 1925, her real name was Marcelina Marcello Moreli. In her youth, she began in the world of acting, since she came from a family in which for generations they had dedicated themselves to the stage for both music and dramatic art.

His first steps on the big screen were in his native country, where he filmed Il paese dei campanelli when he was 29 years old. Her career in Italy continued until 1955, when she arrived in Mexico to try her luck in the film La sultana Safuyé.

In 1965 he had already managed to obtain one of his first big roles on the big screen with the film New Faces. From there she attracted more attention for other productions and had more film roles.

One of his most important projects was The Ugly Mexican, alongside Eric del Castillo and Ninón Sevilla. She also acted alongside Tin Tan in her film And the Models, where she was one of the models.

Regarding her personal life, it is known that she married actor Raúl Ramírez, who was president of the National Association of Interpreters. Throughout their marriage, they had a son, Raúl Marcelo Ramírez.

The actress would have divorced her husband years before he died, in 2014, although others claim that they were together until the end. Ramírez died from health complications due to her age.
