The government of the state of Mexico, through the Caravans for Daily Justice, offers Mexicans savings of up to 80 percent in the costs to regularize their home or land, compared to the amounts they normally have, if they carry out procedures in a particular way.
Since it came into operation in 2019, the Caravans for Daily Justice have brought the population of 104 municipalities in the State of Mexico closer to 97 procedures and services from 25 agencies, among which those that allow users to regularize their property stand out.
With the phrase “little piece of paper speaks”, Álvaro Óscar Ornelas went to the Caravans to make a mortgage cancellation. He was assisted by specialized personnel who explained the steps and average time of the process.
“Yes, they solved me, in fact it was a very fast service and the attention is very attentive and more than anything the procedure that was carried out is economical, in fact the savings that I am making are 9 thousand pesos, if I had done it with a private notary and I did it before Imevis and it came out very cheap.
“I am grateful that this type of Caravan is being carried out more and more, which is a help to all of us who live here in the State of Mexico,” Álvaro shared.
Derived from the agreement between the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (SJyDH) and the College of Notaries of the State of Mexico, as well as the participation of the Mexican Social Housing Institute (Imevis), the mortgage is paid at a discount 30 percent of the total cost.
It is worth mentioning that if the credit was obtained through a banking institution, the procedure is carried out through the College of Notaries at a cost of 5,000 pesos and in cases granted by Infonavit or Fovissste, the procedure is carried out through Imevis at a cost approximately 1,400 pesos, thanks to the subsidies offered.
To date, through the Caravans for Daily Justice, 49 mortgage cancellations have been made through the College of Notaries and 99 through Imevis.
To carry out this procedure, the user must first go to the bank or institution where he obtained his credit to request the Letter of Instruction, a document that verifies that the debt is settled and that authorizes the notary to cancel the lien.
When the user has this documentation, they can go to the Caravans with a copy of their deed, so that a notary can carry out the mortgage cancellation procedure, this process can take two to three months.
