The National Chamber of Freight Transportation announced that the increase in the price of fuel, that the decrease in the fiscal stimulus has had a very negative impact for the union, since costs are kept on the rise and already accumulate increases of more than 17 %.
Armando Martínez Saleh, pointed out that they do not have a rapprochement with the federal authorities, but each of the companies does analysis to increase the costs of freight to their clients, which finally transfer these increases to the final consumer.
He said that there is a recovery of land cargo, mainly in ports such as Altamira, and it is likely that this year they will reach the flows of the end of 2019.
However, he indicated that operating costs have been on the rise, since diesel spending represents up to 45% of the total and 18% goes to the payment of booths, which reduces the profitability of the activity.
