With a high population of Mexican migrants in New York City, Independence is not a date that passes by.
This is how the 29th edition of Mexican Day Paredes was experienced this year, a parade that seeks to highlight culture and history.
According to information from the organizers, in its beginnings the celebration covered a few blocks in the Queens area.
However, over the years it has grown and now covers several sections of Madison Avenue in the same city.
For the 2023 edition, the organization grew to the level of a group like the National Association of Cultural Experiences that seeks to resume the contributions of Mexicans in the northern city of the United States.
This year also had the participation of the governor of Puebla, Sergio Salomón Céspedes Peregrina, although there have already been Mexicans in other years.

In 2015, the person who attended was former governor Rafael Moreno Valle, who was that year’s guest.
In the different editions it has also had the assistance of local authorities but from states characterized by their high population of Mexicans such as Illinois.
