Sergio Calderón has died at the age of 77 this morning of May 31, according to what a member of his family reported to Deadline. The actor of Mexican origin, Known above all for his appearances in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At the End of the World’ or ‘Men in Black (Men in Black)’has died at home surrounded by his family.
The cause of death is still unknown, but had recently been hospitalized for pneumonia.
In his more than 60-year film career, Calderón has participated in numerous films and television series. But if there is something to highlight from his extensive career, it is the scene in ‘Men in Black’ that gave him a place in popular culture. Although brief, the actor appears (partially) at the beginning of the film with his head stuck on a stick, being used by an alien as a human disguise. Calderón has always been grateful to Barry Sonnenfeld, the film’s director, for giving him the opportunity to participate in it.

But for me, that was a success. Because it meant that I had been able to convince people with my acting,” she said in an interview for The LA Times a week before his death.
