This Tuesday, July 25, the world of Mexican acting woke up in mourning, after the news of the death of actor Alfonso Iturralde, a 73-year-old film and television actor, was released.
The announcement was made known through the official Twitter account of the National Association of Actors. Where they expressed a message before the departure of the artist: “The National Association of Actors deeply regrets the death of our partner @Alfonsolturrald. Our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Rest in peace”, they wrote.

So far, the causes of the actor’s death are still unknown. However, it is public knowledge that, in 2019, he announced that he suffered from prostate cancer. However, he was able to get out of it thanks to surgical care.
On the other hand, the National Association of Interpreters of Mexico (ANDI) also reconfirmed the news on its social networks.

The actor was recognized for his roles in world-renowned soap operas, including: “Alebrijes y Rebujos”, “La fea más bella”, “Rebelde” and for his character as Renato Santibáñez, the villain who made life impossible for “Marimar”. Production that he shared with Thalía and Eduardo Capetillo.
The actor participated in more than 40 melodramas throughout his career on Mexican television. Even his last job in front of cameras was in the soap opera “La Desalmada”, in 2021, where he gave life to the character of Alberto Isubaki.
