The departmental road safety squadron checked and intercepted sixty-two speeding drivers during this weekend of October 9 and 10. Twelve of them saw their driver’s licenses immediately detained, and two found that their vehicle left on a plateau. The reason ? A judicial impound decision valid until judgment, decision taken by the Nancy public prosecutor’s office.
The first, a 32-year-old Portuguese driver, driving a Bentley, was checked at 200 km / h on the A31, instead of the regulatory 130, by the gendarmes of the Colombey motorized platoon.
The second, a 45-year-old Parisian driver, driving an Audi convertible, was checked at 164 km / h instead of 80, on a departmental road in the south of Meurthe-et-Moselle, by motorcyclists from the motorized brigade of Seichamps.
In addition, a scooter pilot, who was driving without protective gloves, was noticed. He tested positive for narcotics, and because of his criminal record, he was taken into custody by the soldiers of the motorized platoon of Val de Briey, and was jailed for his immediate appearance on Monday, October 11 at the court of Val de Briey.
Finally, two drivers were driving without a driver’s license, two without insurance, two under the influence of alcohol, and four under narcotics.
