Meurthe-et-Moselle. Covid: incidence rate and wearing of a mask: the decisions of the prefect

“Although the vaccination coverage rate is progressing in Meurthe-et-Moselle with a rate (on December 26) of 75.6% of the first-vaccinated population, it is necessary to maintain the barrier gestures, especially with the variant Omicron which circulates ”, indicate the services of the prefecture. The incidence rate in the department is 442.1 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, constantly increasing for several weeks.

The municipalities concerned

Under these conditions, Prefect Arnaud Cochet extended until January 28, 2022 inclusive, the obligation to wear a mask for any pedestrian aged 11 or over, on public roads and in places open to the public from 7 a.m. to midnight , in the following municipalities: Champigneulles; Dombasle-sur-Meurthe; Essey-lès-Nancy; Frouard; Heillecourt; Homecourt ; Jarny ; Jarville-la-Malgrange; Jœuf ; Laneuveville-devant-Nancy; Laxou; Liverdun; Longuyon ; Longwy ; Ludres; Luneville; Malzéville; Maxeville; Mont-Saint-Martin ; Nancy; New Homes; Pont-à-Mousson; Pulnoy; Saint-Max; Saint-Nicolas-de-Port; Seichamps; Tomblaine; Toul; Val de Briey ; Vandeuvre-lès-Nancy; Villers-lès-Nancy and Villerupt.

Specific places

Moreover, in the whole department , wearing a mask remains compulsory for all pedestrians aged 11 and over, on public roads or in public spaces in the following places and circumstances:

• gatherings of all kinds, and in particular within protest demonstrations, festive, cultural and sporting events, whatever the schedule;

• uncovered markets, flea markets, unpacked sales, fairgrounds and Christmas markets;

• within a radius of 50 m around entrances and exits, when they welcome the public:

• nurseries and educational establishments (schools, colleges, high schools), whether public or private,

• higher education establishments, whether public or private.

For New Years Eve

Finally, wearing a mask outdoors will be compulsory throughout the department, for all pedestrians aged 11 or over, on public roads and in places open to the public, on the night of the 31st December on January 1. Take care of yourself by protecting yourself.
