This monumental fresco, located more precisely at 14 rue des Trinitaires, in Metz, represents the Evocation of Freedom. It is a work by the artist Hervé Decreton, made in 1990.

It represents three men hoisting a painting to the top floor of a Gothic facade, with pointed windows. We can see, inside the painting, seagulls taking flight.
Hervé Decreton was born in Nancy in 1965. He has been living in Montigny-lès-Metz as an interior designer since 1989.
