Mette-Marit was due to participate in an event at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo on Friday morning. There, a group of schoolchildren organized an exhibition in honor of Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov, this year’s Nobel Peace Prize winners.
The crown princess has had health problems for quite some time. She suffers from an unusual variant of the disease pulmonary fibrosis. As a result, she belongs to the risk group when it comes to the corona virus.
According to Norwegian media, Mette-Marit has been extra wary since the corona pandemic. Despite that, she continues to perform as much of her duties as possible. Last month she came to the fore during the visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima to Norway. Crown Prince Haakon was ill at the time and as a result Mette-Marit had to take over some of his duties.
