New York, United States.- Los New York Mets made their first move of the offseason by agreeing Thursday to a one-year deal with the pitcher right Dylan Covey33 years old.

He was placed on the disabled list on March 25 due to a right shoulder strain, then began a minor league rehab assignment with Clearwater on July 28. Covey was activated from the disabled list on August 27 and assigned outright to Lehigh Valley that same day.
He elected free agency on October 10, his right as a player who was not restored to the 40-man roster and who would have been eligible for salary arbitration if he were on the roster.
