Metropolis of Lyon. The Short Film Festival returns to Villeurbanne for the 45th year!

Since its creation in 1979, each year the Film Court festival returns to the Le Zola cinema in Villeurbanne to elect the best short films; and this year 2024, it celebrates its 45th anniversary! An opening evening is organized at 7 p.m. this Tuesday, November 12 with a film concert: Don’t touch me please.

The festival takes place from November 12 to 17, in a much shorter version (five days instead of ten), but which we are promised “more intense”. Every day, at the beginning of the afternoon, Directors/Audience meetings will be held: each day, the public will be able to meet and discuss with the directors of the programs broadcast the day before.

The highlights

The jury will be chaired by Oussama Kheddam, who grew up in Villeurbanne and discovered the profession of actor thanks to improvisation courses at the MJC, seen in particular in “Youssef Salem has success”, “Rien à perd”, or even the “Family Business” series.

Among the highlights: Friday November 15 at 11 p.m. a festive evening “DJ Set/Crêpes” continues the session and the closing evening Saturday November 16 at 7 p.m., with the awards ceremony.

Festival du Film court from November 12 to 17 at the Le Zola cinema.
