The firefighters were contacted around 7 p.m. about an accidental explosion of a water pipe on the Laurent Bonnevay ring road, near Bron. If the explosion tore up part of the road, and caused a huge water leak, traffic was only slightly affected by the problem, and did not need to be interrupted.

Veolia services were on site to take readings and decide on the next steps, depending on the impact that cutting the pipe would have on nearby homes.
