Metropolis of Grenoble. Two girls aged 11 and 13 arrested for robbery

The police were alerted shortly before 7:30 pm on Monday 31 October that a video surveillance alarm system had just gone off in a house on avenue Paul-Langevin in Échirolles.

On the spot, a rescue team entered the property’s garden while another was positioned in the dead end that overlooks the back of the house. Surprised, two girls then escaped by climbing over the fence and landed in a dead end, at the foot of the peacekeepers.

Aged 11 and 13, they were immediately arrested when they tried to get rid of two cell phones they said they “found”.

One was holding a large flat screwdriver and the other an old gold-colored watch.

The police then noticed a break in at the level of the wooden shutter of a French door as well as traces of weight on the window it protected.

Furthermore, the watch was formally recognized by the victim as his mother’s.

The two minors were taken to the police station from where they emerged with a subsequent summons.

In the meantime they have been handed over to the managers of the house where they are staying.
