The competitors of PC “Metropol” Dragomira Draganova and Izabela Velcheva won a total of three medals at the State Individual and Team Swimming Championships for junior and senior ages.
In Varna, Dragomira won silver in the 400-meter medley and bronze in the 200-meter butterfly. Isabella won a bronze medal in the 400m medley, and in the 400m freestyle she covered the standard for women. The two girls are students of the Yuri Gagarin Sports School in Burgas, with coach Harieta Garibyan.
Their teammate Martin Todorov came within hundredths of the male participation standards, and most of the girls covered their senior age standards.
In Varna, the talented competitors of PC “Metropol” in the composition: Martin Todorov, Radostin Haidutov, Ivan Burlaka, Stilyan Indjov, Georgi Bachvarov, Milen Zidarov, Ivaylo Zhekov, Dragomira Draganova, Veronika Todorova, Alexandra Gocheva, Alexandra Kirova, Isabella Velcheva, Tsvetistyana Valeva , Gergana Lukanova and Ivana Isa significantly improved their times, scored top ten finishes, showed team spirit and a will to win.
Among the junior girls, out of 49 teams participating in the championship, our girls took the prestigious seventh place.
“Thank you, children, for the amazing emotions! We wish you a happy summer and in the fall with new strength to set new goals and conquer new peaks!”, with these words the club’s management started the summer vacation for everyone in PK “Metropol”.
