What fans have long wished for could come soon. Metroid Prime Trilogy appears on June 19, 2020 for Nintendo Switch – provided we can trust a recently updated store list. Because on the Swedish dealer website Inet the Metroid Prime Trilogy store page has been slightly customized. The release date is now June 19th, which would put it on a crash course with The Last of Us Part 2, with the two games likely to have a relatively different audience anyway. At least one can hope for Metroid if the date is correct.
Given Nintendo’s newly discovered tactic of skipping the directs and unveiling new games from scratch – like the recent sequel to Paper Mario – however, we tend to assume that an official announcement is imminent. Of course, this entry is still a mere rumor and is in no way an official confirmation from Nintendo. It is still unknown where the online retailer got this precise information from about the supposedly timely release of the Metroid Prime Trilogy and whether it is true. So it remains exciting.
