Youth Movement (GP) Ansor This was reported by DKI Jakarta Faizal Assegaf at the Polda Metro Jaya in the aftermath of a tweet deemed defamatory addressed to the President General of the PBNU Yahya Cholil Staquf (Gus Yahya). Polda Metro has received the report.
“Yes, the report has been received,” Polda Jaya Kombes subway PR chief Endra Zulpan told reporters on Wednesday (11/9/2022).
The report will be investigated by Polda Metro Jaya investigators. Zulpan said the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigations (Dirkrimsus) would look into the matter.
“Investigators will study and explore it,” he said.
GP Ansor report
Previously reported, the Jakarta Ansor Youth Movement (GP) reported this Faizal Assegaf at Polda Metro Jaya. The report follows a tweet from Faizal, accused of defaming PBNU general president Yahya Cholil Staquf (Gus Yahya).
“We at GP Ansor DKI Jakarta have reported a Twitter account called Faizal Assegaf, which in this case claimed defamation and insult and spreading false news to the general president of PBNU KH Yahya Cholil Staquf”, said the president of GP Ansor DKI Muhammad Ainul Yakin in Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, on Tuesday (8/11).
Ainul said Faizal Assegaf’s tweet hurt the UN organization. In his tweet, Faizal called Yahya Cholil Staquf a “habaib hater”.
“One of them said that the PBNU president hates the habaib, the mastermind for the dissolution of the habaib,” Ainul explained.
Faizal Assegaf was denounced for violation of article 28 paragraph 2 and article 15 paragraph 2 and article 15 of the criminal code. The reported party was charged with violating hate speech and spreading false news.
“We printed the draft screenshot Twitter on Faizal Assegaf’s account. We handed it over to the investigators and denounced it and received a receipt from the investigators, “Ainul explained.
