Police are back in the spotlight after going viral robbery victim in East Jakarta the police refused when reporting the incident that happened to him. Polda Metro Jaya apologizes on that incident.
“We apologize for the service and behavior of our members who are not in accordance with applicable regulations,” said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E Zulpan to reporters, Monday (12/13/2021).
Zulpan confirmed that the police cannot reject the report from society. Police must provide services to the community.
“Anyone who makes a report going forward, I will make sure that there are no more members of the Pulogadung Police Sector like that. Because the Chief of Police has clearly emphasized that a police officer must act humanely in providing services to the community,” he said.
Polda Metro Jaya will evaluate personnel. Forward, Polda Metro Jaya will also supervise.
“In the future, we will conduct surveillance and coaching on policy figures who act arbitrarily,” he added.
Police Unscrupulous Refuses Report Taken Off
Polda Metro Jaya has taken action against police officers who rejected the report. Police officer Aipda Rudi Panjaitan has now been removed from the unit.
“The member concerned on behalf of Aipda Rudi Panjaitan has been transferred to the East Jakarta Metro Police for guidance and investigation,” said Zulpan.
Aipda Rudi is a member of the Pulogadung Police. Rudi Panjaitan is now being questioned by the East Jakarta Metro Police Propam.
