NEW YORK – The Metro-North Railroad transportation system announced Sunday that beginning Sunday, August 29, there will be an increase in train service of 82% from pre-pandemic levels. Additionally, the agency announced that the weekend service will make a full return.
In addition, direct service between Grand Central Terminal and Wassaic and New Canaan will resume, as will ferry service on the Hudson line.
The Aug. 29 service increase builds on that by adding 102 more trains to the schedule: 25 on the Hudson Line, 37 on the Harlem Line and 40 on the New Haven Line.
