During the day, XC buses will run on the route between the Prague Uprising stations and the Main Railway Station with an interval of one to two minutes. The transfer between lines C and A at the Museum will also be closed. Passengers will be informed about the exclusion directly at closed metro stations by the company’s employees in reflective vests.

According to DPP, the wooden sleepers are located on the oldest section of line C between Florence and Kačerov, which was put into operation in 1974. After the planned nine-day closure, 6140 of the 19,397 sleepers will be replaced in the section, so the work will be about a third. The next exclusion will be on an extended weekend at the end of September this year, between the Pražského povstání and Kačerov stations.

On route C, the sleepers must be replaced in larger parts due to the safety device, which must be completely switched off. For example, on route A, there is another type of security that allows individual sleepers to be replaced at night. This is not possible on route C. According to earlier information, DPP will not run the metro between Nádraží Holešovice and Ládví this summer, on Sunday, July 26, due to the modernization of security equipment.
