The National Meteorological Center revealed that it had carried out 193 cloud pollinating flights, known as “rain sowing”, from the beginning of this year to the present, at a rate of two to three hours per flight, which included the most regions, to stimulate clouds to drop greater amounts of rain, from 9 flights included during the month of September.
The center explained the use of 3,446 nanopackets in aircraft to carry out these sorties and 2,713 gas torches in ground generators that use environmentally friendly techniques in cloud seeding. The number of ground generators was 323.
He pointed out that the team carrying out a single sortie is made up of 8 pilots and 6 rain seed operators, who are highly skilled and have a long experience in managing the mounds, and therefore follow the safest methods to secure the plane and conduct cloud seeding operations.
At a related level, the center predicts that the weather until Thursday will generally be clear, with low clouds appearing on the east coast, with the possibility of some convective clouds forming in the east in the afternoon, and humid at night over some areas. coastal and inland with the possibility of fog or light fog. The winds are from southeast to northeast, northwest, of light to moderate speed, sometimes active and dusty during the day, and their speed ranges from 15 to 30 up to 40 km / h. it is sometimes light to medium waves in the Persian Gulf and light waves in the Oman Sea.
