National Meteorological Center spokesman, Hussein Al-Qahtani, revealed to “Okaz” that thunderstorms will continue to rain in most regions of the Kingdom, starting tomorrow (Sunday) until Tuesday, moderate to heavy in Mecca Al-Mukarramah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, the Northern Border, Al-Jawf, Hail, Tabuk, Qassim, Eastern Province, Riyadh and Al-Baha.
The spokesperson added that the expected rains will extend their impact into the coming Monday and Tuesday and will be accompanied by hail, active-velocity downdrafts, kicked-up dust, diminished horizontal vision and torrential runoff.
He pointed out that snow is likely to fall on the highlands of the Tabuk region, including Jabal Al-Lawz, Alaqan and Al-Dhahr, indicating that the regions of the Kingdom with the lowest temperatures in winter are the northern and northeastern regions .
