According to meteorologists from “Meteo Balkans”, on November 8, the expected situation in the country will be under the influence of a passing well-defined cold atmospheric front, and rain will fall in many places from west to east.
Intense rainfall is also expected over Central and Eastern Bulgaria.
A moderate south-westerly wind will blow at first, but with a tendency to shift from the north-west and strengthen. Temperatures will also begin to drop.
According to the latest analyzes of the European Center for Medium-Term Forecasts (ECMWF), under the influence of a Mediterranean cyclone passing through Bulgaria, a significant precipitation situation of rain and snow will be created in the period between November 10 and 13.
Around noon on Saturday, from the southwest to the northeast, the cloudiness will increase and new rain showers will begin in Western and Northwestern Bulgaria. It is not excluded that during the passage of the cold atmospheric front, the precipitation will be accompanied by thunder in Western and Southern Bulgaria.
The situation on November 13 will be the most serious. Then our country will be under the influence of a new cyclone. Significant amounts of precipitation and even a high risk of flooding are expected. The models also predict a significant drop in temperatures and by the evening in the Western and Central Pre-Balkans and on the high fields of Western Bulgaria, snow will mix.
