TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Meteor Rain just adorned the sky on Thursday morning, July 29, 2021. Emerging from the direction of the constellation Piscis Austrinus, the Piscis Austrinid meteor shower which has occurred since July 15 is predicted to reach its peak at 4 o’clock this morning, before ending on August 10 later.
The South Sky community note, Bandung, added that this meteor shower has been going on since July 12 to August 23 later. Derived from the fragments of comets Marsden and Kracht Sungrazing, the potential for its appearance is said to be more lively because it will reach 25 meteors per hour traveling at about 41 kilometers per second.
There is another one meteor Rain which peaks at the end of this month, namely
Alpha Capricornids. But, like the Piscis Austrinid, the meteor shower is a maximum of five meteors per hour. “If you wait from the beginning of the month, you will get one meteor,” said Avivah Yamani from the community, when she informed her earlier this month.
