A very powerful thunderstorm has formed over Central Bulgaria. This is clear from a post on the Facebook profile of Meteo Balkans.
“In the photo we also see overshooting tops – powerful upward movements of the air. Excellent indicator of powerful processes in the storm, we expect a big hail …”, added Meteo Balkans.
From the comments below the post it is clear that in Karlovo and Kalofer it is thundering and raining. And in Koprivshtitsa for about 10 minutes it rained the size of peas.
Thunder is also heard in Pleven.
It also started thundering and crashing in Sofia. The rain is pouring like a bucket. Hail is falling in some parts of the city.
