Life expectancy for someone with metastatic cancer has barely improved in the past ten years. Half of the patients whose disease has already spread at the time of diagnosis will live for six months or less. “That is only a month longer compared to ten years ago,” reports the Integrated Cancer Center Netherlands IKNL.
