Meta is in full swing making several major changes to Facebook.
Now, among other things, they have changed their world-famous logo, they report in their own blog.
“We’re constantly evolving to make it easier for people to discover more of the world around them with the help of others,” explains Meta.
Now the giant company has rolled out its “new” logo – and it is creating strong reactions in social media.

“Bold and Electric”
Meta has made the blue color even more striking. The iconic F has become somewhat rounder at the edges.
“Our intention was to create a refreshed design of the Facebook logo that was bolder, electric and timeless,” it explains.

Ugly and “tacky”?
On Facebook’s arch-rival X/Twitter, the discussion is heated.
Several write that the logo is downright ugly and “tacky”, while others claim that the new blue color hurts their eyes.
“It’s so ugly,” writes one.
“I’m sick,” writes another.

New emojis
There will be more strong colors.
In Meta’s blog, it is announced that it is not only the logo that will become more visible, but also the emojis that can be used to react to posts.
The emojis will become more visible – which Meta believes will “evoke more dimensionality and emotions”.

Meta warns that they have many more plans in the works, and that all you have to do is fasten your seat belt.
“This is the first phase of a revamped identity system for the app, so stay tuned for further design tweaks to come,” they write.
