According to a release it released, the collection will contain a dozen songs, run more than seventy-seven minutes, and be released on Blackened Recordings. The songs were produced by Greg Fidelman, who worked with the band on their previous album Hardwired… to Self-Destruct from 2016.
“Seventy-two seasons make up the first eighteen years of life, when our true or false identity is formed. It’s a moment when our parents tell us who we are, it’s a moment when we can lock ourselves away. I find the constant exploration of this model interesting. and its impact on the current perception of the world. Many of our attitudes as adults are reconstructions or reactions to experiences of our youth. We are either prisoners of our own childhood, or we break free from the chains,” explained the title of the new album, singer and guitarist James Hetfield.
Next year, the band will participate in a big concert M72 World Tour, which will last two years and will also touch Europe. There are no plans to perform in Prague, however Metallica will play Hamburg twice in May 2023, Munich twice in May 2024 and Warsaw twice in July of the same year. These are the closest places where they will be introduced. Each tour set will be constructed differently.
The company will have several bands across its lineup, starting in April 2023 in Amsterdam and ending in September 2024 in Mexico City. They will be Pantera, Architects, Five Finger Dead Punch, Volbeat and others.
