Metalheads, donate your blood! Exciting blood donation campaign now at UKE Hamburg.

„All we need is blood!‘ Powerwolf sang and thus immortalized the motto of all blood banks in a metal song. This appeal is particularly important at the moment, because more blood donations are needed than usual. One reason for this is the large wave of infectious diseases, which has meant that fewer people than usual have come to donate blood in recent months. In addition, unfortunately, the willingness to donate has generally been steadily declining in recent years. However, in order to continue to save lives every day, the supply of blood must be ensured – in Germany around 15,000 blood donations are needed every day after accidents, during operations, in intensive care units and in cancer therapy. At the UKE alone there are 3,000 a month.

That’s exactly why we organize together with the UKE and the Wacken Foundation the next blood drive!

When?
From March 20th to 24th. (Mon, Thu, Fri 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.; Tue, Wed 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.)

Wer?
All healthy people over the age of 18 with a weight of at least 50 kilograms. You only need to bring your ID with you.
