Konami has removed Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Libery and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater from various digital game stores, reports The Verge.
The reason is that the company’s licenses for historical film material from TV news and other things that form an important part of the games’ stories have expired. The company announces that it is negotiating new licenses but until it is ready, the games can not be sold.
Konami does not have a schedule for when the games may be back in stores for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS and Windows (GOG), and the company asks players to be patient.
