Metacritic Reviews of Baldur’s Gate 3: Critically Acclaimed RPG with Some Minor Setbacks

Review aggregator Metacritic has begun to see the first scores for the release version of Baldur’s Gate 3. Larian’s RPG received 94 out of 100 from critics and 9.4 out of 10 from users.

In general, gamers praise Baldur’s Gate 3 for the plot, character development and dialogue variability, which allows you to play different characters. Many note adherence to the rules of Dungeons & Dragons, albeit with a number of omissions. Among the things that caused dissatisfaction, gamers called the camera control on the PC, overloaded inventory and a large amount of useless loot. Other than that, some feel that the game feels more like a sequel to Divinity: Original Sin 2 than the Baldur’s Gate series.

The full release of Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC took place on August 3rd. Since 2020, the game has been in early access, and in total it took six years for Larian to develop it. On the second day after the release, Baldur’s Gate 3 was able to get into the top 10 games in terms of peak online on Steam.
