Metacritic, the renowned review aggregation website, has announced plans to implement stricter moderation after Sony’s Horizon: Forbidden West Burning Shores DLC received review bombing from users. Despite being widely praised by critics for its story and gameplay additions, one plot point in the game has resulted in a low user score on the site. In response, Metacritic and Fandom have pledged to introduce stronger moderation measures to combat abusive and disrespectful reviews. The game’s developer, Guerrilla Games, is currently working on a new online project set in the Horizon universe, as well as solo adventures starring series protagonist Aloy.
