This is a new section in the messaging application that brings together conversation groups that revolve around a theme in the same place or a common social space, such as the children’s school or the activities of neighborhood associations.

The new experience for Messenger and Facebook announced by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Metaargues the figure of the administrator, who will be the one who will create the “Community Chat” on a specific theme e organize the subtopics in it, in the form of group conversationson different categories of the main topic.

For example, the company explained in a statement in the main blog that a music group can create a ‘Community Chat’ to share their news, which can be found in different conversations: tour dates, band activities, albums, etc.

Communications in these chats can be made written formatbut also via audio or video messages, as is also the case for Discord on Community Servers. And admins have a variety of moderation tools to block, mute, or suspend members who break the rules.
