The tech super company Meta recently released new conditions for account verification Facebook e Instagram. This will be through a subscription service called Meta Verified which will have benefits such as granting greater visibility to the subscribed profiles.
Among the main requirements appear to be of legal age (18 years), have recent posts and the match between the profile photo and the identity document. The company took this last measure to verify the veracity of the data, so the real name and surname must also be used to subscribe.

For this reason, the company will not allow personal data such as name and profile photo to be modified, at least in the first instance. If you want to make a change, Meta Verified it will ask to re-verify the account, which could be a cumbersome process. However, the entrepreneurship Mark Zuckerberg is working to avoid having to go through this if you want to modify personal information.
Initially, both subscribed and unsubscribed accounts will share the same blue badge indicating that the account has been verified. However, Meta plans to incorporate follower count in more places for legacy verified accounts to distinguish them from paid accounts in the future. The technology company seeks to achieve an authenticated virtual community, ending false and harmful profiles.
The history of the subscription
In 2020, Facebook launched its subscription service that is currently available in almost 40 countries around the world, including Spain, but only by invitation. Users pay a monthly fee to gain access to exclusive content.

Now the new service is beginning to be tested Meta Verified in Australia and New Zealand.
