MerahPutih.com – Meta has canceled work on the device mixed-reality headset which is designed to compete with the Apple Vision Pro. Headphones called Inside La Jolla was originally slated for release in 2027.
Reported by the page EngadgetOn Saturday (24), employees at Reality Labs were asked to stop work on the device after a product review meeting attended by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Machine mixed reality This is said to be much better than the Quest 3, with a very sharp microscreen display. The screen technology is similar to the one used on the Apple Vision Pro.

The new report shows that cost is one of the main obstacles to working on the device. The team wants to reduce the price of the device to below USD 1,000 (Rp. 15.4 million), but micro OLED panels are not cheap. At the same time, the Apple Vision Pro sells for USD 3,500 (Rp. 54 million).
Another reason why production on this flagship device was also canceled was the low demand headset premium at a high price.
Sales of the Apple Vision Pro have been slow and headset Meta’s flagship, the Quest Pro, has been widely mocked for its price of up to USD 1,500 (Rp. 23 million).
