Ireland is set to experience unsettled weather for the rest of the week with gusts reaching above 110km/hr in some areas. Met Éireann has issued several yellow and orange wind warnings, with some areas under warning from 2am to 9am on Wednesday. The UK Met Office has also issued yellow wind warnings for Northern Ireland. Marine storm warnings have also been put in place for some areas of the Irish coast from early on Wednesday morning. Tuesday night will be “blustery” with scattered heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms. Wednesday will offer very strong and gusty northwest winds and rain, with brighter weather in the northeast. Thursday and Friday will see a mix of sunny spells and showers, while rain is predicted over the southern half of the country on Thursday night.
