It is the hour of the 2014 world champions. Sami Khedira prepared a goal for Hertha BSC on his return to Stuttgart, Skhodran Mustafi is immediately a regular at Schalke and outside of the Bundesliga, things are suddenly going again for two Germans: Mesut Özil and Julian Draxler both had reason to be happy on Saturday.
Özil initiated the away win at Karagümrük on his starting line-up for Fenerbahce Istanbul with a free kick. The traditional club prevailed on Saturday evening in the Süper Lig with 2: 1 (1: 0) against the promoted Karagümrük and took over the table lead at least for the time being. Özil, who started for the first time since moving to Turkey in mid-January, prepared the 1-0 through Mame Thiam (19th minute) with a free kick into the penalty area.

After the break, Fenerbahce increased it to 2-0 with a goal from striker Enner Valencia (58th), but had to tremble for the away win after the subsequent goal by Fabio Borini (67th). Most recently, Fenerbahce had suffered two defeats in a row with the cup-out in the quarter-finals against Master Basaksehir and the 0-1 in the league in the derby against city rivals Galatasaray.
In France, Julian Draxler was happy, who is also at least temporarily the front runner. Also thanks to a goal from the national player, he won with the French champions Paris St. Germain with a 2-1 (1-0) success against OGC Nice. The ex-Schalke and Wolfsburg Draxler was successful in the 22nd minute to the opening goal for PSG, Rony Lopes (50th) scored for the team from the Cote d’Azur. Moise Kean (77th) brought the victory of the capital club together.
PSG win without Neymar thanks to Draxler’s goal
Like Draxler, the ex-Schalke Thilo Kehrer was also in the starting line-up of the defending champion. However, PSG had to do without some stars like Neymar, Angel Di Maria and Marco Verratti. The Brazilian superstar Neymar is out for four weeks due to an adductor injury and will not be available on Tuesday (9 p.m. / DAZN) in the first leg of the first leg against his ex-club FC Barcelona.
