The disappearance of 31-year-old Babis Koutsikos in Messolonghi is developing into a thriller for strong nerves, while a 51-year-old man who was the last to meet him is being examined.
The young man came to Greece to spend the holidays with his family and today he would return to Italy, as the Star reports. “Thursday night was the last time his mobile phone was on and he spoke to my mother. From then on, we don’t have anything new,” said the missing man’s sister.
His relatives are worried about his whereabouts and are looking for him, talking about a criminal act, with the Police leaving all possibilities open. In fact, EMAK men with a trained dog participate in the investigations.
“I consider it a criminal act with the data we have. He is a man who would always come in contact with my mother and the last person who saw him owed him money.” his sister told the Star.
This is an amount of approximately 17,000 euros, according to the family of the missing Babis. The 51-year-old is said to be the last person to meet the missing man. The man has been arrested, not for the disappearance but because a knife was found on him.
“They went and arrested him, they caught him in a village in the mountainous Nafpaktia, that is, he had left Messolongi,” says his sister. The 51-year-old reportedly told the police that he had nothing to do with the incident. However, the family speaks of contradictions.
“The man detained by the police has told us different things, to some other acquaintances he has told them differently. He told us that my brother called him to go and pick him up, characteristically he gave the detail that my brother wanted a coca cola and that he went and picked him up and left him on the National Highway in the dark for someone else to go acquaintance to take him to go hunting but there is no one else who could be found with my brother to go hunting. He told his close friend that he was going hunting with this particular person who picked him up, but he didn’t mention to my mother that he was going to leave the house they had talked about two hours earlier,” says Babis Koutsikos’ sister.

Anxiety about the fate of the 31-year-old is at its peak. His family has given the Security a “smart watch” that the 31-year-old had in his possession which was connected to his mobile phone.
