Argentine legend Lionel Messi rejected an offer to appear on a sports program broadcast by the American CBS Sports network yesterday evening, Wednesday, to analyze the European Champions League football competitions.
British sports program presenter Kate Abdo claimed that the reason for Messi’s refusal to attend as a guest was due to the presence of former Liverpool and England national team defender Jamie Carragher as an analyst.
Last year, the Liverpool legend claimed that he received a private message from Messi via Instagram in which he described him as a “donkey,” and this came in response to his criticism of him after his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

He added, “I said during our analysis of one of Paris Saint-Germain’s matches in the last edition, that the club would not win the Champions League with the presence of Argentine Messi, Frenchman Kylian Mbappe and Brazilian Neymar together. I was surprised, after a while, by the arrival of a message from Messi in Spanish, and after translating it, it became clear that it meant (donkey).”
