Lionel Messi entered a new chapter in his life, when he left Barcelona last summer and arrived at Paris Saint Germain (PSG). Messi’s contract runs out and Barca is struggling with funds to pay his salary, so PSG can pick up La Pulga.
Messi is one of the best footballers in at least the last decade. Seven Ballon d’Or became his collection, many trophies were presented to Barcelona, and brought the Argentine national team to win the Copa America.
Unfortunately, Messi is also human. He has to adapt to PSG at Ligue 1 aka French League. Can’t go directly to one set, one set…

Messi lost to his own teammate, Kylian Mbappe. Then the other players who were nominated were Wissam Ben Yedder (AS Monaco), Dimitri Payet (Marseille), Martin Terrier (Stade Rennais), and Lucas Paqueta (Lyon).
Lionel Messi only made four goals from 24 matches in French League. If the assists are still okay, he packs 13 assists.
Messi has indeed changed his role to become a playmaker and is more serving Mbappe or Neymar to score goals. Messi was not lucky, because often his shots hit the post.
