Indeed, within minutes of Argentina’s victory in the final, crowds of Argentines flocked to downtown Buenos Aires and other iconic venues for celebrations, carrying flags, caps and blue-and-white national team jerseys.
The Argentine government also declared Tuesday a national holiday to celebrate.
