Messi junior knows how to win, is it like Argentina a year ago?

(PLO) – Will the scenario of Argentina losing the first match like in the 2022 World Cup and then going on to win the championship repeat with the U-17 team?

Starting the first match of the U-17 World Cup group stage, Argentina U-17 lost 1-2 to Senegal, but woke up in the second match and won. That is the same scenario as the 2022 World Cup for Messi and his teammates.

During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Argentina lost 1-2 in the opening match to Saudi Arabia and then went on the journey to the championship.

Same goes for Messi’s juniors in Indonesia when attending the U-17 World Cup. In the first match, they were defeated 2-1 by Senegal, then they woke up.

U-17 Japan could not defeat Messi’s juniors and accepted a 1-3 loss.

Argentina beat Japan 3-1 with difficulty. Japan is not weak, last July, in the U-17 Asian final, Japan drowned U-17 Korea 3-0.

Messi junior faced the Asian champion in a forced-win position because after the first match, he was humiliated by African representative Senegal.

And U-17 Argentina was very determined, within just eight minutes, junior Messi had two goals against Japanese goalkeeper Goto by Claudio Echeverri (5th minute) and Valentino Acura scored in the 8th minute.

While Japan showed no signs of getting into the rhythm of the match, Argentina “immediately threw” two buckets of cold water. However, the young “Samurai” did not waver, they tried to regain the match and gradually the match was relatively balanced after half the first half when the “young Samurai” staggered. Young Japanese players are different, facing anyone, but before the final whistle blows, they don’t give up. The first half ended and Argentina temporarily led 2-0.

In the second half, Japan played with even more determination and just five minutes into the second half, Japan scored a goal to shorten the score to 1-2 for Japan thanks to Rento Takaoka.

Japan played more enthusiastically and attacked more aggressively. However, in the last minute of extra time at 90+9, Agustin Ruberto had a slow shot. The ball hit the Japanese defender’s foot and the ball changed direction, causing goalkeeper Goto to give up. Argentina won 3-1.

For the young Argentinian team, it is clear that they do not have as much physical resources as their peers. At least the two losses to Senegal and the win over Japan showed that in the final minutes of the match, they were exhausted. Perhaps at this age, Messi juniors do not yet have the perfect strength.

Anyway, after the first match lost to Senegal, Messi junior also found a win. Is it similar to the scenario of Argentina at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar?

With Japan, the first match they defeated Poland 1-0 and now lost 1-2 to Argentina.
