Due to the Financial Fair Play, Barcelona could not extend with Lionel Messi – despite the parties agreeing on a contract. Now everything points to the Argentine being on his way to PSG – where several credible media write that the French club has put a contract proposal on the table.
But there are those who do everything to stop the recruitment, Marca reports.
The newspaper writes that Barça members have turned to the European Court of Justice to stop the deal. Lawyer Juan Branco believes that PSG can not make the signing in view of Financial Fair Play. He claims that the club’s finances are more vulnerable than Barcelona’s and points to the wage costs.
– In 2019/2020, 99 percent of PSG’s income was used for salaries, while it was 54 percent in Barcelona.
The newspaper states that an appeal has been submitted.
PSG have previously recruited Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi and Georginio Wijnaldum during the summer.
