Inter Miami professional coach in the American League, Phil Neville, said that he wants to attract Argentine star Lionel Messi to the team.
Phil Neville said in an interview with the British newspaper “The Times” that Inter Miami is interested in Messi and Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets.
And Neville was not afraid to hide his ambitions as he prepared for a second season with the club owned by his friend, former England player, David Beckham.
The English coach said, “I do not deny that and say that there is no truth in the speculation that we are interested in Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets.”
He added, “We want to bring the best players in the world to this club. Messi and Busquets have stood out more than anyone else in recent years.”
He continued: “They are two great players who will continue to be a great benefit to the club and will change the rules of the game in it.”
Media reports had previously stated that Messi, who now plays for Paris Saint-Germain, is considering whether to remain with the Parisian club or leave with the end of his contract at the end of the current season.
She pointed out that Inter Miami tops the list of those wishing to include Messi, who led Argentina two months ago to victory in the World Cup.
As for Busquets, his contract with Barcelona also expires this year.
