Most recently, rumors circulated that Lionel Messi, whose contract with Barcelona expires in a year, could switch to Inter Milan. The world footballer has now taken a clear position on this.
In his Instagram story, Messi shows a screenshot of a tweet from the Argentine TV channel “TNT Sports”, which claims that the Argentine youngster Thiago Almada could join Inter Milan with Lionel Messi. In addition, «TNT Sports» speculates that the Barça star has paid the deposit for his recently released ex-teammate Ronaldinho.
Messi chokes off these rumors quite dryly and describes the two claims as “lie number 1” and “lie number 2”. The 32-year-old adorns his story post with the hashtag #FAKENEWS. With that, the inter-rumors should be off the table once and for all, after earlier inter-patron Massimo Moratti said earlier this week: «Messi’s contract will not last long and I think that it is definitely on the way to bring him to Milan. »
Even though his contract only runs until 2021, the six-time world football player has emphasized in the past that he wants to end his career in Barcelona.
