An old champion with Real Madrid is back in the ring. He once called Messi a God and now he has attacked Cristiano Ronaldo.

More than 900 goals, top scorer for Real Madrid or tournaments like the Champions League, but something is missing. A former champion with the white team and who said that Lionel Messi was “God”now he lashed out at Cristiano Ronaldo for his conditions and their impact on the game beyond what happens in front of goal. Cassano shielded his barbs around a question of play. He did not question the Portuguese’s scoring role, but rather his impact on the team that has his services. Even the comparison with the CR7 of the past indicates that he is totally superior to what is seen today: “For the last three or four years at Madrid, CR7 was a centre forward. He has always been a left winger. Would you like to put him among these attackers? Those I have mentioned have something in common… Higuaín, Agüero, Lewandowski, Benzema, Ibrahimovic and Luis Suárez, they all knew how to play with their teammates.”
The reality is that the Italian experienced a Real Madrid that was very different from that of CR7. Cassano arrived in the winter of 2006 and after shining in Rome. A place that he would only leave for ex-sporting reasons that moved to Spain.
