Lionel Messi be the star of the 3-0 win Argentina over Bolivia after scoring a hat-trick in 2022 World Cup Qualification at the Monumental Stadium, Friday (10/9) morning Indonesian time.
Lionel Messi brought Argentina ahead in the 14th minute. La Pulga’s goal was created beautifully. Initially Daniel Paredes managed to break Bolivia’s counterattack.
Paredes then gave the ball to Messi. After passing an opposing player, Messi brought the ball closer to the penalty box. Before entering the penalty box, Messi’s opponent curled a left-footed kick that nestled in the top left corner of the Bolivian goal.
Argentina’s attempt to double the score in the 29th minute failed after Martinez’s goal was ruled out for offside. Nahuel Molina’s cross could not be cleared into a goal by Lautaro Martinez after his shot was blocked by the opposing defender in the 37th minute.
Martinez again threw away a golden opportunity that could bring Argentina 2-0 up in the 39th minute. Martinez’s low cross from the left was met by Messi, but his shot which was already in front of goal was still wide on the left side of Carlos Lampe’s goal.

In the 43rd minute it was Messi’s turn to almost add to the score for La Albiceleste. Messi’s placing kick to the left is still wide.
Bolivia almost scored the equalizer before the first half ended. In the 45th minute Henry Vaca took advantage of a blunder by Rodrigo De Paul who had the wrong pass. But Vaca’s shot still bounced over the bar.
Messi again got a goal opportunity in the 61st minute. It’s just that Messi’s kick from inside the penalty box can be blocked by the opposing defender.
Lionel Messi brought La Albiceleste 2-0 up in the 64th minute. Messi’s second goal was created after playing a one-two pass with Martinez. After getting the ball, Messi outwit a Bolivian player first before breaking into Lampe’s goal.
Messi almost got a hat trick in that match. In the 73rd minute Messi broke into the Bolivian goal again after receiving a breakthrough bait from De Paul. But the referee did not approve the goal because Messi was offside first.
The hat-trick that Messi had been waiting for was created at the end of the match. Argentina attacked Bolivia repeatedly before the second half ended.
Taking advantage of the chaos in the opponent’s penalty box, Joaquin Correa fired a direct shot that could be pushed over by goalkeeper Lampe. However, the wild ball rolled towards Messi. Calmly La Pulga scored the third goal of the match.
Without additional goals in the remaining matches, Argentina won 3-0 over Bolivia.
